Once there was a dog. She was a happy dog. She was a brown dog. But one thing was not right in her life. All she wanted was a nice family to take care of her.
It was a wet night. Lightning came from a cloud and out from no where, bang, flash, crash. When it stopped, she was tired and wanted to go to bed. Before the storm was over, she saw three big dogs in front of her. She asked if they would please move and they said, “Ha, ha, ha. No way will we move.”
She tried to go around them and they called her names. She started to cry. They started to laugh. She felt bad, but things started to change. She saw a girl walking near her. The girl had blond hair and dark blue eyes. The girl took a good look at the dog and could tell that something was wrong.
The dogs started to call her a mut. They sang, “Mut, mut. You are so ugly.” The girl heard her whines and said, “You poor thing.” She took her home. At her home the girl said, “You look like a nice dog,” and gave her a rub on her back. She said, “Let’s name you Lilly. Yes, Lilly the dog.” She was a nice dog with a nice family and a nice home. When the family members came over, Lilly would jump up and down and start licking their feet. She loved all the people that came to the little house. The End
